In his profession as a graphic designer Andrea Rovatti has explored the
world of images for many years.
Working from Milan he coordinates a multidisciplinary team providing a creative
consultancy service in visual communications both in Italy and abroad.
His work philosophy is to pay meticulous attention to the quality of the
creative project, following each step of the design process through to completion.
He is also a lecturer in Visual Communication at Milan's Polytechnic for
the degree course in Design and Communication.
His creativity and freedom of expression is born out of a fusion between
graphics and photography, which he taught for many years, and his pictures
are frequently used in his communication projects.
As an artist he also produces limited editions of serigraph prints, sculptures.
His work has been published in numerous magazines, both Italian and international.
His works have also been exhibited at the Grand Palais in Paris, the Biennale
of Brno and Warsaw, at the Museum of Arts in Hiroshima, the University of
Fine Arts in Connecticut, at the UN Palace of Nationsin New York, the Israel
Museum in Jerusalem, the Mathildenhohe of Darmstadt, at Unesco, at the Citè
des Sciences et de l'Industrie (La Villette) in Paris and the Museum fur
Kunst und Gewerbe in Hamburg.
Andrea Rovatti was selected at the XVI Premio Compasso d'Oro. He is a member
of ADI (the Italian Association of Industrial Design) and AIAP (the Italian
Association for Visual Communication) of which he has been a member of the
Directive Council.
